Kuwaitization
EQUATE Ranks First Among Private Sector Companies in
Local Manpower Recruitment
EQUATE has continued to support and encourage qualified Kuwaiti
citizens to work in the private sector. In 2004, EQUATE was
congratulated and awarded, during a ceremony held by the Ministry
of Social Affairs and Labor, for its extensive accomplishments
in adopting nationalization schemes in local manpower recruitment,
otherwise known as Kuwaitization. This rate ranked EQUATE as
the top company in Kuwait, employing the highest percentage
of Kuwaiti nationals in a private sector company.
By end of 2006, 63% of all EQUATE employees are Kuwaiti
nationals. In addition, 90% of managers and technical supervisors
are Kuwaiti nationals. EQUATE's Kuwaitization rate was obtained
through many strategies, including consultation with international
firms specializing in human resources, applying the basis for
recruitment and selection and conducting training and interviews
on an advanced international standard. EQUATE was able to achieve
this goal during a short operational lifespan. One of EQUATE's
main goals and objectives was Kuwaitization, and was achieved
based on strategic planning.
EQUATE has become a role-model in providing job opportunities
and training suitable for Kuwaiti nationals due to the fact
that it employs and trains highly-qualified nationals with experience
related to advanced world-class practices. |
