Safety
Records
Monitoring safety performance is one way to measure compliance
and ensure the effectiveness of a safety programme.
To maintain a safe working environment, we undergo regular safety-compliance
audits, internally and through external agencies, in addition
to conducting stringent employee evaluations, education and
training.
In May 1999, EQUATE employees achieved their first million safe-work hours without a lost work-day injury. Since then, similar achievements have been recorded, the highlight being the achievement of 10 million safe-work hours without a Day Away From Work Case (DAWC) injury on April 12, 2008.
Although we are very proud of our records, we will never rest
on our achievements. It is our practice that each milestone
reached becomes a new benchmark against which all future performance
is measured. |
