EQUATE’s Ethylene Unit 1 (EU1) located in Shuaiba tripped earlier today after which the flare was activated as part of safe operations; it is currently under start-up mode. There is no negative environmental impact or safety issue. We expect to resume normal operations by early morning at the latest.
