Kuwait, March 28, 2011 — EQUATE Petrochemical Company hosted a spring camp open day gathering for its employees and their families in effort to boost overall relations.

During the event at Al-Metla area, the open day was attended by over 800 persons who enjoyed several extracurricular activities, including face painting, soccer, volleyball and traditional Kuwaiti dance (Ardha), as well as a raffle draw.

Organized regularly by EQUATE as part of creating an overall work and life balance, such open days are occasions for employees and their families to interact with each other within an informal social setting.

Established in 1995, EQUATE is an international joint venture between Petrochemical Industries Company (PIC), The Dow Chemical Company (Dow), Boubyan Petrochemical Company (BPC) and Qurain Petrochemical Industries Company (QPIC). Commencing production in 1997, EQUATE is the single operator of a fully integrated world-scale manufacturing facility producing over 5 million tons annually of high-quality petrochemical products which are marketed throughout the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Europe.
