Kuwait, October 1, 2011 — EQUATE Petrochemical Company said it continues its world-class performance through being an academy for distinguished Kuwaiti leaders.

Addressing a number of EQUATE employees enrolled in high-level training, EQUATE Senior Executive for Corporate Communications & Client Affairs Adel Al-Saad Al-Munifi said, “As over 90% of management posts are held by nationals, EQUATE ‘s growth and development throughout the years has been the product of such caliber of professionals.”

Al-Munifi added, “EQUATE’s current and future plans greatly rely on the dedication and innovation of its human resources who constitute the cornerstone for the Company’s sustainability driven efforts within and outside Kuwait.”

Established in 1995, EQUATE is an international joint venture between Petrochemical Industries Company (PIC), The Dow Chemical Company (Dow), Boubyan Petrochemical Company (BPC) and Qurain Petrochemical Industries Company (QPIC). Commencing production in 1997, EQUATE is the single operator of a fully integrated world-scale manufacturing facility producing over 5 million tons annually of high-quality petrochemical products which are marketed throughout the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Europe.
