Kuwait, September 24, 2011 — EQUATE Petrochemical Company hosted a grand ceremony to celebrate and commend the contribution of its employees to be the first company in Kuwait to obtain the Responsible Care (RC) accreditation and certification.

With the attendance of EQUATE board members and several petrochemical leaders from within and outside Kuwait, the celebration, themed “We Care,” included awarding distinguished contributions to RC global principles by EQUATE employees and departments.

The awards included two main categories relevant to a number of industrial and environmental matters that reflect EQUATE’s overall commitment to sustaining and preserving the environment as a whole for the mutual benefit of all relevant stakeholders.

EQUATE recognized individuals and departments for demonstrating the true spirit and dedication of being RC ambassadors. The awards that were presented are testimony of their achievements and remarkable contribution in support of RC as embodied by EQUATE.
