Kuwait -9 November 2014 — EQUATE Petrochemical Company, Kuwait’s first international petrochemical joint-venture, hosted the Minister of Social Affairs & Labor and State Minister for Planning & Development Affairs Hend Subaih Barrak Al-Subaih for a visit that included showcasing the company’s achievements and practices in various sectors.

During the visit, the minister commended EQUATE’s distinguished role as part of Kuwait’s private sector, noting the importance of integration and cooperation between government and private entities to ensure Kuwait’s development and prosperity.

On his part, EQUATE President & CEO Mohammad Husain delivered a presentation regarding the company’s achievements, role in developing national manpower, contribution to Kuwait’s economy, its procedures in industrial, administrative, professional and commercial fields, as well as its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives in partnership with many organizations to embody its “Partners in Success” tagline.

The visit also included a roundtable discussion on administrative systems, effectiveness of organizational techniques, and the importance of recognizing successful efforts, followed by a tour to the plants owned and operated by EQUATE in Shuaiba Industrial Area.

The minister’s visit included the participation of Deputy Director General of Public Authority for Manpower Ahmad Al-Moussa, the representative of small to medium enterprises in the Higher Committee to Develop Youth Projects at Public Authority for Manpower Talal Al-Awadhi, as well as members of EQUATE’s senior management and a number of company leaders.

Established in 1995, EQUATE is an international joint venture between Petrochemical Industries Company (PIC), The Dow Chemical Company (Dow), Boubyan Petrochemical Company (BPC) and Qurain Petrochemical Industries Company (QPIC).
