EQUATE inaugurates pediatrics ward at Al-Adan Hospital

EQUATE Petrochemical Company announced the inauguration of Al-Adan Hospital’s pediatric ward that was fully renovated through funding from the company.

During the ward’s inauguration, EQUATE President & CEO Hamad Al-Terkait said, “Medical services are an integral part in any society and that has motivated EQUATE to support Ministry of Health’s (MOH) Al-Adan Hospital through funding state-of-the-art medical equipment and the renovation of this ward which plays a critical role in serving pediatric patients receiving treatment at this hospital.”

On his part, EQUATE Board Chairman Yousef Al-Ateeqi said, “This funding and sponsorship are fully supported by EQUATE Board as an extension of continuous support and collaboration extended by EQUATE CSR Program to MOH in appreciation of its efforts in sustaining overall health in Kuwait.”

On behalf of MoH,  Ahmadi Health District Director Dr. Fahad Al-Foudari expressed utmost appreciation to EQUATE’s overall CSR initiatives, especially in terms of EQUATE’s contribution towards medical and health affairs throughout the years.

The inauguration was attended by several dignitaries, including Board Deputy Chairman Raja Zeidan and a number of MoH officials.

Established in 1995, EQUATE is an international joint venture between Petrochemical Industries Company (PIC), The Dow Chemical Company (Dow), Boubyan Petrochemical Company (BPC) and Qurain Petrochemical Industries Company (QPIC). Commencing production in 1997, EQUATE is the single operator of a fully integrated world-scale manufacturing facility producing over 5 million tons annually of high-quality petrochemical products which are marketed throughout the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Europe.
