EQUATE visits General Administration of Customs

EQUATE Petrochemical Company, Kuwait’s first international joint-venture in this industry, conducted a visit to Kuwait General Administration of Customs (KGAC) with the attendance of a number of leaders from both organizations.

His Excellency KGAC General-Manager Khaled Al-Saif said, “The administration spares no effort to facilitate all matters for each and every relevant organization. As all of us aspire for development and progress, the administration welcomes all added-value suggestions from all sides to ensure Kuwait’s advancement and prosperity.”

On his part, EQUATE President & CEO Mohammad Husain said, “KGAC plays a critical role in supporting various sectors in Kuwait as part of contributing to this country’s efforts to become a regional financial and economic hub. Based on that, KGAC has notably contributed to the success achieved by EQUATE in an embodiment of its slogan ‘Partners in Success’ to ensure overall sustainability. This has become a reality through the support and cooperation of His Excellency KGAC General-Manager, as well as other leaders and employees at the department.”

The visit included the Manager of the General-Manager’s Office Sayer Al-Azma, Manager of General Auditing Husam Al-Sahail and Manager of Air Customs Ahdi Al-Obaidan from KGAC; while EQUATE’s attendees grouped Senior Executive for Business Development Tareq Al-Kandari, Senior Operations Director Ahmed Al-Shuwaib, Corporate & Government Services Leader Yaqoub Al-Kandari and Senior Corporate Communications Executive Ali Al-Hamad.

Kuwait General Administration of Customs (KGAC) was founded in the era of the late Sheikh Mubarak Al-Sabah in 1899. It’s considered as the first governmental department established in Kuwait, The General Administration of Customs is the party that handle all customs business work, and also execute all decisions issued from country’s ministries and governmental organizations. Also it can be considered as the first line defender to protect country’s security an economy from the covetous and who has criminal manners and who aim to violate laws. The General Administration of Customs while performing it’s huge responsibilities also execute all laws, decisions and regulations issued from official organizations as an executive organization.
