For its community program -EQUATE wins prestigious CSR award

EQUATE Petrochemical Company received the Highly Commended Best Community Program Award during the First Middle East Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Award Summit held in Dubai.

The company was honored for successfully implementing several community outreach programs, such as the “Keep Your Life Rosy” breast cancer awareness campaign, “Plastic …. Fantastic” plastic awareness campaign, energy conservation programs, educational support programs and numerous development programs for the local talents.

Upon receiving the award, EQUATE Vice President for Technical Services and head of its CSR Team Mahmoud Al-Qattan expressed pleasure to receive such a prestigious award, hoping that EQUATE would always be an exemplary model in implementing CSR initiatives.

Al-Qattan noted that EQUATE had previously won Kuwait’s First Corporate Social Responsibility Award in the Energy Sector.

With the attendance of hundreds of CSR senior executives and professionals from public and private sectors, as well as the civil society throughout the Middle East, the award ceremony took place on the sidelines of the 5th CSR Summit which was organized by the Institute for International Research (IIR) in Dubai.
