EQUATE sponsors autism walkathon
EQUATE Petrochemical Company cosponsored Kuwait Center for Autism (KCA) 4th Walkathon Day on Saturday March 1, 2008. The three-kilometer walkathon started in front of the Swimming Pools Complex and ended in The Green Island (Al-Jazeera Al-Khadra) along the Gulf Road.
As the event’s silver sponsor, 55 of EQUATE’s employees and their families participated in the walkathon. The sponsorship was in accordance with EQUATE’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative and Value as Being a valued neighbor to communities where the firm operates. This was EQUATE’s first participation in this annual event.
With the walkathon being under his patronage, former Health Minister Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah expressed much gratitude for EQUATE’s support to KCA, lauding its overall societal contribution. He presented EQUATE Sport Team with a plaque in appreciation for the firm’s efforts.
EQUATE would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to Sheikh Ahmad Al-Sabah, KCA, as well as all relevant organizations and persons for the great event aimed at establishing overall community awareness and informing the public about the center’s role.
