With a continued dedication to safety

EQUATE achieves 13 Million Safe Work Hours

Consistent with its absolute commitment to running a safe operation, EQUATE broke the 13 Million Safe Work Hours mark for the first time since its inception with an exceptional Recordable Injury Rate (RIR) of 0.040!

Commenting on this achievement, realized on September 21, 2008, EQUATE’s Senior Vice President Dan Gibbs congratulated all those who have contributed to reaching this notable record.

Gibbs explained “This is absolutely fantastic and shows that EQUATE continues to put safety first! This accomplishment would not have been possible without having embedded a true culture of safety in EQUATE.”

While noting that the upcoming challenge was to maintain and improve upon the record by not losing focus on safety, Gibbs expressed confidence that further records will be attained by EQUATERs.

On his part, EQUATE’s Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) Department Leader Yousef Al-Gharabally said this achievement was “due to all employees’ and contractors’ dedication, involvement and contribution towards safety. It is added proof that every employee and contractor has committed to the safety culture at EQUATE.”

Al-Gharabally went on to say that “by having the attitude of ‘never compromise on safety,’ we continue to follow our EH&S policies & procedures with absolute devotion.”
