Dieter Schnepel has cultivated a distinguished career marked by over three decades of leadership and operational expertise.
Mr. Schnepel began his professional journey with DOW in Stade, Germany Chlor-Alkali in 1991. Over the years, he has excelled in various roles, including Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) leader and production leader, assuming the latter role on four separate occasions. His assignments have spanned multiple regions, including Germany, South Africa, and Texas City, underscoring his global impact and adaptability.
His leadership credentials are further highlighted by his tenure as site leader for DOW in Boehlen DCG, Terneuzen, and Stade, Germany. In 2017, he was appointed Global Business Manufacturing Technology Leader (BMTL), headquartered in Stade, Germany where he championed the development of young engineers.
In addition to his operational roles, Mr. Schnepel has held significant executive positions. He served as one of the Managing Directors for the DOW German Asset Company and as Managing Director for the HPPO joint venture with BASF. Furthermore, he led as Managing Director for the HPPO Technology BV and was Chairman of the Supervisory Board overseeing H2O2 production by Solvay in Antwerp.
Mr. Schnepel also represented DOW on the EUROCHLOR Management Committee, exemplifying his influence within the chemical industry. Mr. Schnepel holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Applied Sciences Hamburg. He is also a Leadership Mainland Graduate of the Texas City-La Marque Chamber of Commerce.
